Abstract

Cloud computing delivers the resources as a various services over the network.Cloud Security is one of the major issues in the SAAS environment. The main advantages of cloud computing are scalability, resilience, flexibility and efficiency. The cloud computing offers an innovative business environment model for organizations to adopt IT services without upfront investment. This keynote address focus on security solution in Software as a Service (SaaS) model for efficient implementation of cloud computing.

Biography: Prof. Dr. Subarna Shakya holds Ph.D. in Computer Engineering from Lviv Polytechnic National University, Ukraine. He served as Executive Director at National Information technology Center, Government of Nepal. He  is the Professor  and Head  of Department of Electronics and Computer Engineering, Director of Center for Information Technology , Institute of Engineering, Tribhuvan University. He is also  Visiting Professor in Brown University, Rhode Island, USA.  He has also served as coordinator of EURECA (European Research and educational collaboration with Asia) and IDEAS (Innovation and Design for EuroAsian Scholars).

He has published more than 120 technical and policy related papers in national as well as international reputed journals. He is steering committee member in School on Internet (SOI), Kieo University, Japan. He is presently serving as project coordinator of LEADER (Links in Europe and Asia for engineering, education, Enterprise and Research exchanges) financed by the European Commission through the Erasmus Mundus. He has  delivered his keynote speeches in the Seoul National University, South Korea, in the University of Engineering and Technology, Lahore, Pakistan, in the Galgotias University, India and in the  Amity University, Noida, India. He has also delivered Invited speeches in the San Diego University, San Diego, USA,  in the  University of Nevada, Las Vegas, USA and  in the Santa Clara University, Santa Clara, USA.

He is the Life Member of Indian society for mathematical modeling and Computer Simulation, IIT, Kanpur, India,  Senior Member of IEEE, Member of the Society of Digital Information and Wireless Communications, Senior Member of International Association of Computer Science and Information Technology (www.iacsit.org), Hon. Fellow Member of Scientific Society of Advanced research and social change, www.ssarsc.org and Senior member of science and engineering institute, (SCIEI), www.sciei.org.

He is keen interest in research and development of ICT, e-government system, Information security for e-Government system, multimedia system, Computer Systems simulation and modeling, Cloud computing & Security, Energy Efficiency in cloud computing, Information system, computer architecture and software engineering. He has supervised more than 80 Masters Thesis, 10 Ph.D. thesis and 5 Ph.D. thesis are in progress.

He was awarded by Nepal Education Leadership awards 2017, 18 Dec 2017 and outstanding contribution to education, 17 Dec 2018 by World CSR Day and World Sustainability. He was awarded 100 most dedicated professors, 4th July, 2019 and also awarded best professor in Computer Engineering studies, 10th Dec 2019 by World education congress. He was Conference Chair of Springer International Conference on mobile computing and sustainable informatics on 23-24 January 2020. He is Chief Editor of journal of Artificial Intelligence and capsule Networks (AICN). He has organized many International conferences in Nepal such as Springer, IEEE related to security and Computing.
